Color Rush at the Art Museum // Photography

Yesterday I spent some time looking through the current Color Photography exhibit at my local art museum. “Color Rush.” It featured 75 years of color photography within America. It follows the historical development of color photography. The art was expressed from framed art, to slideshows, as well as publications.

This is probably one of my favorite series of photographs by Edward Steichen.

The exhibit was definitely more then I thought it would be. It was such a vast collection of colored photography, I spent at least 2 hrs. enjoying the displays. I was even able to get a great book referencing the photographers in the show and tons of other great ones through the history of photography.

Side note: if you live in the area the first Thursday of every month is free admission for the museum. I took full advantage of this deal and am so happy I was able to enjoy this exhibit on a budget!
